Isn't it curious how a scandal related to some folks doing some nasty partying while others are denied that pleasure, is more capable of knocking down an entire government than, say, its ineptitude in dealing with financial and economic challenges that really affect the bulk of the populace? Priorities, I guess.

Those who consider their opposition to be nazis should seem ridiculous every time - moreso at the highest levels (Putin, Biden, Trudeau). The nazis are somewhere between endangered and extinct, those who say otherwise are either idiots or aware of the leverage it gives them over idiots.

Americans have a long and storied history of defying rules that they are convinced do not serve their interests, and being nosy, intrusive busybodies about enforcing rules they believe in. It’s a real mixed blessing. E.g. British taxation; Vietnam.
