New year, new luck, yo! And of course, again for the purposes of the DailyQuotes list, here's the list of funny/silly/thoughtful/whatev's quotes for 2022.

As usual, a line has a chance of finding its place here if it inspires others to either have a giggle, or go into deep contemplation (keep hoping, lol). A link to this list will also be displayed on the community sidebar.

The Dailyquote list for 2022 begins after the cut (with links)...

Yet another disadvantage of authoritarian regimes: the ruling class tends to progressively stray out of touch with reality as time passes and they become complacent. This makes their inevitable collapse all the more sudden, unforeseen and utterly shocking for them.

Americans have a long and storied history of defying rules that they are convinced do not serve their interests, and being nosy, intrusive busybodies about enforcing rules they believe in. It’s a real mixed blessing. E.g. British taxation; Vietnam.

All my Canadian friends* are far more worried about Trudeau than about America's political drama. Just sayin'. * I assure you most of them are not imaginary
