It seems so. For now, anyway. Bibi's opponents in the Knesset have agreed to form a new government and oust him as Israeli prime minister.

This is of course a developing story but it's fascinating. After all, BB has been the longest serving PM in Israeli history. If he's gone, that'll be the end of a whole era.

But I'll just say this. Betting against BB has always come back to bite people. The Israelis play with dove-ism every so often, then they realize they'd be like naked sheep surrounded on all sides by wolves, then again, Hey BB!

I worry about Bennett making things even worse. I've seen arguments for and against that scenario coming to pass, arguments that are realistic and informed. Certainly, he's surrounded at present by nominal allies, several of whom will jump at the first chance to oust him should he try anything that looks excessively bloodthirsty.

I think the reality that Bibi was looking to the literal Muslim Brotherhood to stay in power is its own indictment of him as the kind of shameless flaming hypocrite who would run on law and order campaigns and incite the murder of political rivals.
