I guess I don't see the racial profiling. I understand where you're coming from, since it's Arizona, so the majority of the illegals there are most likely from Mexico. I live in Southern California, we have a similar issue.
However, the majority (in my experience) of the people that live around Hispanics don't see them as that. They see them as people. Not to say that people aren't racist and just hate for the sake of hate. I know that too.
There's no way to completely stop racial profiling. Humans are going to be human. Whether it be for the bad or for the good.
What I see the Arizona law doing is trying to force people to understand that there is a problem. The Feds aren't doing their job to protect the borders, so they saw it as a last resort.
I hope that some good, positive discourse actually happens to protect our borders. Do I actually believe it will happen? No. :( And that's just sad.
