Er, that analogy ain't quite right. If a small child lit a huge campfire in the forest and made noise, they'd be warm, and far safer from every kind of creature in the forest with the exception of humans, and if humans wandered along and found a small child before a campfire, they'd be far more likely to adopt the child than slaughter it.
