The way the US is set up and current demographics leave a small chance of a landslide, however.
It’s all gone a bit awry. Sensible folk have to try to reach across the divide to stop the possible madness from developing.
But the lock is broken, and the beast is rattling it’s cage.
This has been fomented and enabled over decades under the guise of the ordinary evolution of normal partisan politics. Either by accident or design you are closer to civil war than at any time since the Civil War. The US needs to fix this without descending into the abyss.
You need someone to reconcile the people. Or at least take the heat out of things.
