Well - I think we can all agree that the explanation given is at least partly bullshit.
Someone running for office in Nevada could probably pick up some votes by promising to re-open the investigation.
Nationally - it can't be a politician - we're too divided at the moment. The left thinks law enforcement can do no right, the right thinks they can do no wrong (the obvious truth is, they can do plenty of both), so you can either throw the baby out with the bath water or refuse to bathe it at all.
Journalists? Again, useless, until they prove otherwise - and they're going in the wrong direction.
I suppose Jason Aldean has a platform, and a connection to the event, and hasn't pissed off any factions that I know of (yet) - but insinuating that the government/law enforcement did a shit job is similar - if not worse - than calling a Republican President stupid - and we all know what that can do to a country music career.
