If the facts are accurate about this town of 275 residents, there is no excuse to wait until 2025 for an election. There must be a way for the federal government to step in now.
President Biden is always talking about how much he is interested in the rights of African Americans. So he should put his money where his mouth is: order the Department of Justice to intervene NOW!
The whites (who are only 15% of that tiny town) apparently do not want to be governed by African Americans. That is their right. So they should move. This whole farce should be given tons of publicity in the media. Those whites who are blocking the inauguration of the new mayor would be laughed out of town.
