kiaaWhat’s the real reason you can’t go faster than the speed of light?
"The real reason you cannot travel through space faster than light is because you are always traveling through spacetime at the speed of light. The best you can do is transport all your effort into moving through space; but, once you have pushed all your motion in the space direction, there just isn’t any more speed left."
Okay, two questions though. Why is the speed of light what it is, why this exact value? And why does it require so much effort to increase your speed in space but it's so easy to increase your speed in time? (My suspicion: Having mass and thus, resistance, could be the answer to the second one; also, being static in space while moving through time at the speed of light is the default mode of anything that has mass).
